Guides

I am a trail guide teaching beginner riders how to ride horses in the mountains and desert. At the same time, my horses are my guides. For most of my life, my most important decisions have been based on what is best for my horses. My horses are guiding me to all the right people and places. They are leading me to the best I can be.

Larissa

My youngest doctor is a long-haired Chihuahua named Larissa. When I first saw her, it was love at first sight. She is inquisitive, feisty and independent. She and I adore each other. It is love at second sight too!

Puppy

My other doctor is Puppy! Mimi had one son and this is Puppy. Puppy looks like a Papillion so it is a miracle that Mimi, a short haired Chihuahua mix, is his mother. Puppy is the most cheerful dog in the world. His two favorite things are to chase Prince Clover and give me kisses!

Doctor

The other part of the saying I heard is that dogs are our doctors. I am so grateful to have lots of doctors in my life. Here is my oldest dog named Mimi. She is a short-haired Chihuahua mix. She loves to dig into my lap and find a soft spot to snooze!

Nurse

I heard a great saying today that cats are our nurses! This is Galaxy, my big white cat. He was a stray in Phoenix for the first year of his life. I rescued him from a cat rescue. Now he loves to stretch out and purr with loud contentment!

Twenty-one years!

Kamar, my oldest Egyptian Arabian horse, is 25 years old this year. My mother bought Kamar for me when Kamar was 4 years old. So Kamar has been my best friend for 21 years! Besides my mother, this is the longest loving relationship I have ever had.

Untied

I am so amazed at Zum! I put on all his shipping boots and I never even had to tie him to something to keep him still! He stood perfectly still as I put each boot on!

Easy

I have worked with Zum a lot, putting on and taking off his shipping boots over and over. Because of my consistency over the course of months, now it is easy!
